For more than 75 years, Lake Placid Groves has grown, packed, and shipped the finest in Florida citrus to customers in the US and Canada. We produce 14 varieties of oranges, tangelos, tangerines and grapefruit on our 4,000+ acres of prime grove land located in an area known as the Ridge. This naturally fertile area extends down the center of Florida from Haines City to Lake Okeechobee. Our grove are located at the south end of the Ridge.




Rich soil, choice root stock and the ideal Florida climate are crucial for growing superior fruit. Then comes the challenge of getting the fruit to our customers in the freshest condition. That requires a knowledgeable staff, technologically advanced equipment, and our commitment to give you what you want - the highest quality of citrus in the shortest amount of time.

Lake Placid Groves packs two premium brands of citrus, both US Grade #1. Our Lake Placid brand encompasses all citrus varieties grown or handled at our Lake Placid location, including our premium Rohde Red Valencia Orange and our ever-popular Temple Orange. We're one of the largest growers and packers of Temples in the state. Our Placid River Brand is reserved for our special Indian River Red Grapefruit, grown in Florida's fertile Indian River region.
